How to put YouTube video on PowerPoint

Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 is best software that helps you create presentations using various tools, and it includes the possibility to make the presentation even better with videos from YouTube or any other website. In order to put a YouTube video on PowerPoint, you need to:
- Update PowerPoint;
- Open your presentation;
- Add videos from YouTube;
- Place videos in the presentation.
Let’s put YouTube video on PowerPoint
If your operating system updates automatically, then you may not need to install the updates. Just in case, install the next two updates, specifically KB 2837627 and KB 2817636, in order to add videos from a YouTube channel. Make sure your PowerPoint presentation is closed before updating PowerPoint.
After installation is complete, open your PowerPoint presentation. Open the tab "Insert".
Add online video to PowerPoint
In the tab "Insert" on the right, find the icon "Video". Click on it to open the menu and select "Online Video".

In this screenshot, just enter your request in the area for YouTube or paste the URL of the necessary video, and press "Enter". As you see, PowerPoint can also extract video from the embed code.
To get the URL from the website: open YouTube, find the video you need and copy its URL from the address bar of your browser.
Insert a video
PowerPoint shows the results for the request you entered. Click on the video to select it (you may choose several videos, if you have several results), and then click on "Insert".
Place YouTube video
Now you only need to put your video in the correct place. You can change the dimensions of the window, if needed. In order to see the video in this presentation, launch the slide show (open the tab "Slide Show" and click on the button "From Beginning" or "From Current Slide").
